University of Alabama Honors College Welcomes Will Adams as Director of Libraries and Honors Financial Affairs

The University of Alabama Honors College has welcomed Will Adams as its new director of libraries and Honors financial affairs, effective June 1.

In the role, Adams will support the financial operations of the Honors College while also serving in a similar capacity for University Libraries. He will report to Becky Scheef, executive director of campus financial affairs, and work closely with Honors College leadership on financial planning and administration.

“We are delighted to welcome Will to this new role supporting both the Honors College and University Libraries,” said Tiffany Sippial, dean of The University of Alabama Honors College. “Will brings extensive experience in higher education finance and operations, along with a thoughtful and collaborative approach to his work. His expertise will be an important asset as we continue to strengthen the administrative and financial foundations that support our students, faculty, staff and programs. We look forward to working with him and are excited about the contributions he will make to the Honors College.”

Adams is a financial administrator with a background in higher education, athletics and nonprofit operations. Before joining the Honors College and University Libraries, Adams worked with the Business Services office in The University of Alabama Division of Student Life. He also held financial positions at Syracuse University and the University of Florida.

A two-time graduate of the University of Florida, Adams earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the institution.

The Honors College looks forward to Adams’ contributions as the College continues to expand opportunities and support for students, faculty and staff.
