This seminar is about empowering students to develop a profound opinion about highly controversial topics of current public discussion. The participants will be encouraged to find and create building blocks based on conceptions of philosophical and theological ethics. Solid information about the topics at stake will add to the goal to create a profound position. In addition to introductory lectures, book discussions, films, and other media, role playing, mock debates of parliamentary, court room, or dinner table style can be tools to help sharpen the argumentation also in entertaining ways.
