This seminar course is designed to explore the American ideas, institutions, and values that shape our shared existence. The course will challenge students to think critically about the mechanisms used in American society to shape public behavior, exploring the channels through which those behaviors are communicated, and the possible ways those ideas might be influenced or changed.
