HnExpl: Civil Rights

This seminar is designed to be an analytical discussion of various civil rights laws (e.g. ADA, USSERA, Title VII) and their impact and influence in everyday life. The seminar will expose students to various laws and social justice theories while providing a supportive environment for free discussion of social justice laws in America. It will heighten the student’s awareness of the different aspects of social justice in America; critically examine factors that influence social participation and exclusion; and, assist the student in developing a knowledge base with the appropriate common language to discuss the issues intelligently.
