Sem: Historical Research Methods for the Study of Political Thought

The purpose of this one a week seminar is to introduce upper level undergraduate students to the practices of research in the history of political thought. It is a course especially suited for those students considering moving towards a graduate degree in Political Philosophy, Political Theory, or the History of Ideas. Through interaction with the professor and one another in a seminar setting students will learn to transform their interests in political philosophy into research questions that speak to matters of concern to the academic community. They will formulate, revise, and complete their own research projects in the history of political thought.
