This seminar examines trials that have been sensationalized throughout history, whether because of Constitutional importance, impact on social movements, the time period during which the trial occurred, or because of the trial’s portrayal in literature and the media. The seminar begins by examining the basic anatomy of a trial and exploring basic Constitutional issues then transitions into discussion of specific cases using a general timeline beginning in the early 20th century through today.
