Wade received a BA in Religion from Birmingham-Southern College, a M. Div. from Emory University, and a D. Min from Asbury University. His dissertation research focused on experiential education, primarily through game-based-learning in the humanities. He teaches UH100: Honors Connections, UH102: HYO Common Book Seminar, and UH155: Playing a Parable- Judeo-Christian Kingship through Final Fantasy XV. Wade also serves as director of the University of Alabama Wesley campus ministry and the president of UA’s Department of Religious Life.
