Scholarships

Honors students have many opportunities to vie for prestigious scholarships, fellowships and other awards, some internal to the Honors College, others external. The Honors Experience provides the perfect platform to prepare students to apply for prestigious honors.

Internal Scholarships

The Honors College offers a number of scholarship opportunities for new and continuing Honors students. Scholarships are based on factors such as academic achievement, need and disciplinary interests. Questions regarding Honors College scholarships should be directed to honors@ua.edu.

External Scholarships and Fellowships

In part because of the opportunities available through the Honors Experience, Honors students are extremely competitive for major national scholarships, fellowships and other awards, such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Truman and Goldwater. Some two thirds of students who are nominated for (and often win) these prestigious honors are Honors Students. UA's Office of External Scholarships and Fellowships is housed in the Honors College.
