The University of Alabama Honors College selected Eyram Gbeddy as March’s Student of the Month. Gbeddy is a political science major from Norristown, Pennsylvania in University Honors Program and Blount Scholars Program. Gbeddy shared some of the unique experiences Blount Scholars Program offers.

“My small discussion-based classes in the Blount Program not only introduced me to my first college friends,” Gbeddy said, “but also allowed me to interact with a diverse set of viewpoints in a way that would not have been possible otherwise.”

Gbeddy is the former Diversity Chair of the Blount Student Organization, the President of the Black Faculty and Staff Association Ambassadors, a SGA Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Secretary of UA Common Ground. Gbeddy explained how Honors College resources have helped during his academic career at UA.

“From helping me with applying for external scholarships,” Gbeddy said, “to giving me the resources necessary to make the most out of my talents, the Honors College has been one of the most important aspects of my life at The University of Alabama.”

Congratulations Eyram Gbeddy for being named Honors College Student of the Month!
