Brooke McCorkle joins the Honors College as the assistant recruitment coordinator. From Alpharetta, GA, McCorkle received her Bachelor of Science in business management from The University of Alabama and was involved in the University Honors Program. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in higher education administration at UA. “The community at The University of Alabama is unmatched. I love the hospitality and sense of belonging across campus. I also appreciate the opportunities for growth and development as well as the support UA provides employees,” said McCorkle.

Before joining the Honors College, McCorkle was an athletic academic assistant at Kennesaw State University. She recently moved back to Alabama and married her husband in June 2021. As a former Disney College Program participant, she loves all things Disney and enjoys traveling to see family and friends, playing games and cheering on the Braves and the Tide.

McCorkle’s favorite UA traditions are all things football and the annual Beat Auburn Beat Hunger event. “I think the campaign is a wonderful way to use the competitive spirit of the Iron Bowl to fight hunger and poverty and is a great opportunity for the entire campus to participate in community engagement,” said McCorkle.

“As the assistant recruitment coordinator, I am looking forward to speaking with prospective students and their families about all the programs and opportunities we offer in the Honors College,” said McCorkle. “The college has gone through many changes since I was an Honors College student, and it has been exciting to learn about the ways we continue to enhance the educational experience for our students.”
