PrepScholar Names UA Honors College Among Best “Bang for Your Buck” Honors Colleges
PrepScholar has named The University of Alabama’s Honors College among the best “Bang for Your Buck” honors colleges in the nation.
Ashley Robinson of PrepScholar cited competitive admissions and academic opportunity through programs like Randall Research Scholars Program and Witt University Fellows Program. Robinson also mentioned UA Honors’ scholarship opportunities.
“UA Honors offers some of the most generous merit aid packages in the country to its students,” Robinson of PrepScholar wrote. “At least eleven different types of merit and need based scholarships are available to UA honors students. On top of those scholarships, UA Honors students are eligible for study abroad scholarships and research fellowships.”

Students have a wealth of options when creating an Honors experience specific to their intellectual interests and needs. We have a program manager and team of advisors on hand to assist students every step of the way.
The Honors College has partnered with the Counseling Center and the Division of Student Life to launch an embedded therapist initiative within the Honors College.
Honors students have many opportunities to vie for prestigious scholarships, fellowships and other awards, some internal to the Honors College, others external. The Honors Experience provides the perfect platform to prepare students to apply for prestigious honors.

The Kennemer Center’s goal is to be a hub for innovation on the campus of The University of Alabama, to be a catalyst for innovation and social impact at institutions of higher education around the state, and to foster state and local efforts throughout the state, aided by corporate, foundation and government support.
