Message from the Dean

Dr. Tiffany Sippial

Welcome to the Honors College!

I am so proud to serve as the new Dean of The University of Alabama Honors College. My primary goal is to support our faculty, staff and students who represent a diverse community of scholars, innovators and leaders. Our vision is to become the national leader in Honors education, and I am thrilled to partner with you in this exciting venture.

The Honors College is home to a diverse community of scholars, including more than 7,000 exceptional students from across the country. Our mission is to inspire and support these high-performing and high-potential students as they become Critical and Creative Thinkers, Ethical and Empathetic Citizens, and Collaborative and Inclusive Leaders within their chosen fields of study and beyond. We support this mission to create a community of innovative scholars and engaged leaders through creative and collaborative scholarship, experiential learning and community engagement.

Within the Honors College, we offer the University Honors Program, the Randall Research Scholars Program and the University Fellows Experience. These programs provide opportunities and experiences where our students become transdisciplinary scholars, rising stars in cutting edge research and future leaders for our community, nation and world. In addition, we partner with different colleges through their Honors programs: the Blount Scholars Program and McCollough Institute for Pre-Medical Scholars (College of Arts and Sciences); the STEM Path to the MBA and the CREATE Path to the MBA (Culverhouse College of Business); and the Engineering Positive and Intentional Change (EPIC) program (College of Engineering).

Whether this is your initial connection with the Honors College, you are planning a visit to campus or if you are already a member of the Honors community, I invite you to explore our website and reach out to us if you have any questions.

I cannot wait to see all that we will achieve together.

All Best and Roll Tide,

Tiffany Sippial, Honors College Dean
