Leadership Experience integrates diverse practical experiences with leadership concepts so that students can serve as informed, proactive leaders in various Honors College initiatives. The course utilizes a combination of small group discussions on leadership theory with opportunities for Honors College students to demonstrate their personal leadership styles.

This course utilizes a series of leadership workshops, a mentoring component, and an academic debate tournament to cultivate mentored leadership in upperclassmen. Specifically, students will familiarize themselves with an ethical issue in order to support freshmen Honors students through UH 155: Moral Forum. Students will facilitate reasoned debate, cultivate oral and written reasoning in discussion sections, practice effective citizenship, and serve as thoughtful judges for the Moral Forum debate tournament.
